What does your daily schedule consist of?
As a General Pediatrician, what do you typically do on a daily basis? Are most days pretty crazy or very relaxed? Is it pretty routine or do things change based on the day? etc. #doctor #healthcare #medicine #medical #GeneralPediatrician #schedule #daily #hospital-and-health-care

Generally, Pediatricians work in an outpatient setting. They perform physical exams, order tests including laboratory and imaging tests, make diagnoses, and prescribe treatments to children or refer to specialists. They also perform well-child exams and provide vaccinations. Some pediatricians work in a hospital setting, taking care of sick children, for example in the Intensive Care Unit.
Thank you so much :)

Most pediatricians work in the outpatient setting. This is a clinic or a doctor's office. The day will start around eight or nine, and the doctor will see patients every 15 to 30 minutes. I’ve seen some clinics that are really fast-paced and intense, and others that are very relaxed. These days, it’s about you deciding what kind of schedule you want. Best of luck.
Thank you for your answer! :) I think it’d be interesting to experience both ways

Tosin’s Answer
As an outpatient pediatrician at a large institution my experience from a day to day will be different from one at a private practice.
My day consists of seeing patients both regular physicals and those who come in with a specific complaint. Patients are seen every 15-30 mins in a 10 hour day one can see up to 30 pts.
Within this day I also will attend to phone messages sent by the office RN who answers calls from parents with questions and concerns.
Some pediatricians also have nursery responsibilities that they share with their partners and often this entails seeing babies in the nursery to make certain they are adjusting to life outside of the womb appropriately.
