There are a few ways to approach this:

Do some research on what the salaries are for the types of jobs you are considering. Salary.com is a good place to start. Part of making a good salary is being in a role/industry that can support high paying jobs. For examples a Marketing Manager at a tech company makes considerably more than a Marketing Manager at a non-profit. Also certain roles withing Marketing have the potential to have a higher salary cap than others.
Once you are in the workforce make sure you do your job well. But that alone will not guarantee your ability to move up the corporate ladder. You have to manage your career. Have ongoing conversations with your manager and understand what it takes to get to the next level.
When looking for a company to work for focus on companies that are growing, you'll have more opportunities to grow with the organization and take on more responsibility.

Severino’s Answer

The most important way to make more money is to learn all that you can about your current job and the company you are working for. Having good work ethics (being to work on time, finishing your assignments on time, being honest, having integrity, etc) will open opportunities for other positions in the company with bigger responsibilities; those positions will lead to pay raises and promotions. Look for a mentor at your job. A mentor can be someone that is looked up to by others; he or she can help you learn about the company and what is important to be successful in that company.

Good Luck!
