Hi Mina,
Great question! If you're currently in college, your instructor should be able to help guide you with this. You can also check with your school's career center if there is one. Most schools have a department that helps students who want to be placed in their field.

Dear Mina,
Yes - I would recommend that you reach out to your faculty adviser and or career center at your current university. However, you might also consider trying to create your own internship. This might take a little extra effort on your part, but it could pay off for you long term. To start off, you will need to develop such a plan with your current university adviser. Many factors drove my decision to takes this path, but it really worked out for me. Essentially, I identified one of the foremost professional settings and authorities in the profession that I wanted to work for long-term. This entailed me developing a network that would be willing to open some doors for me to get me that opportunity to get an interview with the director at the institution that I wanted to intern with. This took a lot of effort on my part, but to this day it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. It not only demonstrated initiative which employers like to see, but the director of my internship experience was instrumental in helping me land two professional positions based on his recommendation.
Wishing you the best of luck !
