Yes, you can be a scientist. But when you say "scientist" that can mean a lot of different types of careers. What part of science do you like best? Do you like animals or insects or are you interested in how the human body works? Then you could study the Life Sciences/Biology. Do you like mathematics and figuring out equations and formulas? Then you might be interested in Chemistry. If you are interested in the living world where animals and trees and water sources interact then Ecology or Environmental Science might be a good choice. What about weather? That is the science of Meteorology. The study of rocks and landforms is Geology.

It can seem overwhelming when you realize how many different scientific fields there are, but it also gives you lots of choices. What are YOU good at? What things in the world are you MOST INTERESTED IN? Once you answer those basic questions you will have a better idea of what kind of science would be the most rewarding to study.

I hope this helps a little. You can email me if you have more questions. Good luck in school!
