Who would you recommend judging too?

I would recommend judging to someone who is confident in their abilities of interpreting the laws, and being fair. Judges are lawyers and they have to know the law. If they are well respected and are fair to all...then they make great judges. But try not to have a temper.

Judges have different personalities than attorneys. You usually know whether you want to battle in the courtroom and enjoy the competitive aspects of trial. Or you can see both sides of an issue and like mediating to a fair conclusion. I don't particularly enjoy confrontations and battling. I am much better at reaching fair conclusions based on the law and reason. The negative part of being a judge is being stuck in a courtroom almost all day and listening much of the time. However, most judges I have talked to LOVE their jobs. Hardly any negatives except getting up early and sitting in the courtroom for extended periods. But you get to call your own breaks!

An unbiased well rounded individual with no prejudices. Someone who is fair, honest and understand of different cultures opinions and values. Someone extremely observant, compassionate and understanding. Education is a plus, but overall understanding of humanity and socialization skills would be beneficial. You cannot be a a good judge when you have racism or prejudices at your core. It would not be fair.

Strong minded, highly respected individuals who have a strong passion in the justice system. Judges are compassionate humans who treat others how they want to be treated. Judges must have thick skin.
