What is the best free online SAT practice?
I'm a sophomore in high school in Orange County, CA and I'm looking for free and/or low-cost resources and training materials for SAT prep. I have a 3.6 GPA and need particular help in reading comprehension.

Hi! I would try the College Board website as they publish real SAT tests that have previously been used:

I believe the Khan Academy also shares those previously administered tests:
https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep/sat
Finally, you can look on eBay for some old books or CDs with SAT practice tests from paid test prep providers like Kaplan:

Best of luck!

My children have all used and loved Khan Academy's online practice. It is free and has a wide variety of practice problems and exams.

CollegeBoard offers free practice materials through a partnership with Khan Academy! https://www.khanacademy.org/sat?utm_source=cbcta-satprnl-sy-2019-20&utm_medium=cb418-xt&utm_campaign=practice
Additionally, when I was in high school (2 years ago), my school's guidance counselors provided paper copies of practice materials in their office, and my school offered an ACT prep class that helped raise my total score by 5 points. I would definitely recommend asking your guidance counselor or a teacher if anything like this is available, if you haven't already.

This link has 10 practice tests, but more importantly, they have a descriptive answer key to help you see where you are making mistakes, and how you can learn from them. Do about 5 tests without timing yourself, then practice the rest with time.
Then, sync your PSAT and any previous SAT with Khan Academy. Khan & Collegeboard can help you do that. This will help you learn material that you seem to be missing.
Another recommendation is to take the ACT. It is a more straightforward test, goes a little faster than the SAT, has a science section and one less math section. But many students do much better on this test. It is worth trying. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you can ask your counselor for a fee waiver.
