I recommend creating a LinkedIn profile and do research on people and internship opportunities that are close to what you want to get into. Getting your foot in the door is essential to figuring out the next opportunity you may want to get into. Also with the career you have chosen, I am pretty sure you can take advantage of study abroad and research programs that are focused on wildlife.

Chuck’s Answer

Yes, you can get a job in forestry, fisheries, restoration, and maybe in some cases classification of new plant species or existing populations. Those options are best pursued by working for local government as in your state wild life website, or individually messaging PI's at a local hospital/ research institution.
