You don't need to be tall, skinny, and statuesque to become a model. Women and men who are 5'5" and under can be signed with an agency as long they know their limits and their strengths. The tall and skinny models dominate the high fashion world, but there are plenty of other opportunities out there. If you work where your strengths play out then you can be more successful. To become a model, it's important to be confident in photo-shoots as well as casting calls. Distract agencies from your height by impressing them with your confidence. The more confidence you show the more likely you are to get hired for modeling jobs. This doesn't mean that the height wouldn't matter at all. Of course, the height comes to picture. When it comes to runway model one should have a height of not less than 5'8. But if you have a great body and good features you can be a print model. Get your Portfolio done by a reputed photographer and start making rounds of Print Model Agency. A Print Model poses for ads on print and if u have excellent features you can also model on television advertisements. Hope this helps..

In this day in age, models heights and body structures vary from the "quote on quote" lean and tall models in the past. The modeling industry is forever changing. The number of successful short models (runway, print, promotional etc.) is substantially larger now than ever before.
If modeling is truly your passion, fix your eyes on the prize and strive to be one of the best short models in history. #fashion#modeling
