Clayton’s Answer

Hey Harish, I think what's more important than following money is to find what you're passionate about, what do you enjoy doing while you're not at work? Maybe that's creating videos, or music, or anything else. Find what you're passionate about, and I would urge you to pursue that, and money may eventually come to you.

Allison’s Answer

Technology is an area that has had high demand and usually pays well if you have a specific skill set, it's also an area that you can learn and gain skills on your own and if a self-starter, can learn and gain the skills free from the internet. The skillsets you learn do not have to be very technical if that is not your interest - you can learn more business skills, consulting or system administration. Check out the technology to learn based on your passion and interests - for example, if you enjoy helping others and supporting others - learn a customer support technology or if interested in marketing - learn about marketing technology.

I work for salesforce and salesforce offers free online training and a ton of opportunity to get up to speed on our different products through self-paced free training, free webinars, youtube demos and recordings. There is an extensive salesforce ecosystem where salesforce job skills are in high-demand whether at salesforce, our customers or partners. Salesforce has a suite of products across many industries and areas - customer service, sales, marketing, data/reporting/analytics, ecommerce and more.

Allison recommends the following next steps:

Start here: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/home and sign-up and check out some of the fundamental trails to learn what salesforce is, what Customer Relationship Management is, etc
Search the internet for free IT (Information Technology) training courses - a ton will come-up
Search YouTube for demos and videos to help learn
Do you know anyone that works for a high-tech company? If so, reach out to learn more.
