Go to class! A lot of university students don't which I find destructive. After you finish with your classes, go over you notes and make sure you understand everything you covered. If you do that, I assure you that you are going to do great. Moreover, plan in advance and don't procrastinate until everything is due at once. Lastly, no allnighters! You need the sleep to do well in the exam.

Developing routines and managing your time wisely are crucial. Make sure you give yourself enough time to do homework and study for tests. The last thing you want to do is develop bad habits and wait until the last minute to study for tests. Also, make sure you give yourself enough time to take breaks and collect your thoughts when doing school work or studying for an exam. You should never try to study for more than a couple hours at a time. Make sure you take a break or else you will find yourself just trying to remember certain topics instead of actually learning them.

My suggestion for adapting to college your first year would be to just allow yourself to slowly getting acclimated to things. Don't try to take on too much right away. Ease yourself into things. Don't procrastinate, prepare and do your homework daily and stay on top of things. It is important to make friends but the right kind of friends. Don't let yourself get caught up in partying and drinking and doing drugs. A lot of temptation will come your way. Try to find friends with similar goals and interest as yours. Don't be afraid to say no to something if you don't have time. You will find yourself being pulled in a lot of different directions and you can get into habit of thinking I have plenty of time to study for that test. If you procrastinate and put it off to the last minute and stay up all night you wont be as prepared as if you studied little each night.
Try to schedule out your time the best you can so you can experience the best of everything. You can find friends and join some type of group that the college has to offer to get contacts and be able to network to help you find a job once you get your degree. At some point I would suggest doing an internship if you think you have found career you would to do to ensure you like it. College will be one of the best experiences of your life so enjoy it. But don't be afraid to say no to things that don't feel right, trust your gut and instincts. Work hard and get good grades, develop friendships and contacts to help you find job once you graduate. Networking is one of the most important things you can do and college helps you to do that.
Good luck!

I think that you should make sure that you treat college as a job. A lot of college students hang out and do not study during the day even though they have just a few classes a day. Try to be as productive as possible during the day and study during the times that you do not have class. It also important to keep up. Do your reading every day. Also you should never skip class. I also would recommend that you exercise at least 4 times a week to keep fit and your stress down. Most colleges have great gyms so take advantage of it. However, do not forget to have fun and try to meet new people. College is a great time to form new friendships. Have a great time in college.

You will need to focus on stress and time management. In order to manage stress you have to manage your time wisely. You have to set a routine for yourself and stick to it for the most part. Once you get into the groove of a routine it will be much easier for you to manage your time and have enough time for everything you need to do (including relaxing). Make yourself to-do lists on a weekly basis, use Google calendar or a planner to keep track of events, deadlines, and due dates. In addition to setting a routine and sticking to it, plan out relaxing activities into your day. Or set aside a time, after everything is done for the day, that you can have "me" time. I have also personally found it essential to not only find time for myself but also make use of that time in a way that is best for me and my holistic wellness. I have found the HeadSpace app to be an essential tool in helping me relax and generally feel more relaxed throughout the day, Guided meditation, even if you have a busy schedule, will make you feel more at ease and relaxed throughout the day as a whole (not just when you have the time to relax and focus on that "me" time).
Set a routine.Use Google Calendar.Set aside Me TimeWrite weekly to-do lists and use a planner.Find a peaceful and restful activity that will help you feel relaxed.
Here is how to be successful in them:
- Stay on track - do assignments early, finish things a head of time, and be aware of all of your deadlines
- do all the the assignments and read all of the coursework required- do not cut corners
- use Google calendar to keep track of deadlines
- communicate with your professor early if something comes up
- do not be afraid to ask for an extension if you need one
- study, and study a lot! you don't have regular class sessions so you will need to put in more work at home.
- Do your best and genuinely try hard to give it your all.
The best way to score high on the test is to Google search an online program or book that will help you study. Once you find an online lesson plan for success you can use it as a road map for studying. Otherwise, find a book to help you study and spend 45 mins a night reading through it and studying. Depending on when you test is, the first thing you will want to do is organize a studying schedule for yourself. Target studying certain sections of the test and divide them up by the weeks/months you have until you have to take it.
