Hello Abhay,
Good Day! I am happy to answer your question. Work from Home depends on organisation policy. If you compare Internet with 20yrs before, then you will see huge difference. Most of organisation allow Work from home but there are roles which support business critical activities are delivered from office. I am seeing your interest in Graphic Design/Animation/Gaming domain. Its' better to do freelancing where you get opportunities while working from home. Work from home depends upon one's choice. I hope my answer will help you .

Hello Abhay,
I am happy to see you got several relevant and informative answers.
I would like to add two areas of the job market that often offer remote working opportunities. Those are open source organizations and innovative companies rapidly growing their efforts to go global (note that my expertise is in software development and cloud computing and not on gaming).
I would suggest, though, that you consider working in a professional in-person setting for a few years before you decide that remote work is the best for you. There are several skills and experiences that I recommend you get from an in-person setting that you can carry with you the rest of your career. From my experience, the earlier you learn those skills, the more chances for a successful and fulfilling career you will get.
I wish you all the best!

Thank you for your response Ms Silvia. I've been working on small projects at home but I lack the experience of working in a team or in person. At times like this finding hands on work or even an internship seems far fetched.
So I'm open to all sorts of job offers related to IT

To be honest, not many entry-level roles in IT (including the ones you've listed) will be 100% WFH. However, most IT roles allow employees to work from home 1 day a week or even if they're feeling under the weather or if a family member is sick - there's definitely more flexibility.
100% work from home roles are definitely perks that are given over time with experience, trust, and your work ethic. If you go into a consulting firm, there's more opportunity to travel and work from home.

In current scenario, world is moving from employment to entrepreneurship model. In many countries too, governments are supporting and assisting such startups as these also end up generating further employment opportunities. In my opinion if you are so much enthusiastic about working from home. You can too explore such options. Although it may require a starting investment but the returns can be worth this investment.
Happy Entrepreneuring!

Hi Abhay,
I can tell you for sure that Web Development is a job that can be done working from home. I've been a web developer for about 14 years and although I've never worked from home exclusively, it's an option that I've offered the people I manage, and a task that I know could be done easily via someone that works from home. It would require lots of trust, and I've only offered it to people that I trust and have been with me for many years though.
Wish you the best of luck!

If you're looking at support roles (like support engineer or something similar) or a developer, those roles quite often offer work from home opportunities (as they are remote roles)... Creative roles, like Game Designer, Graphic designer, etc do not offer much work-from-home opportunities; creative roles often require face to face communication...
