Hello!
I have a daughter who loves theater, dancing, and acting. You are so young and I would highly recommend you start developing your performance skills. If you are into musical theatre then you want to be strong in 3 areas: Dance, Singing, and Acting.
The best way to do that is to try out for school and community plays. Join your school or church choirs. Start a band and perform everywhere you can. If your parents can afford acting or dancing classes you can find local or online classes. Check out takelessons.com or https://bwaycollective.com/. Watch youtube dance tutorials and practice!
Memorize monologues and short skits--develop a portfolio of things that you can perform on your own. You have time on your side so use it to get stronger and you will stand out when the time comes! Good luck!

Hello child it seems to me if you want to be an actor right now and that you sing and are dramatic that you already are an actor. Your question may be how do others recognize me as an actor and I get paid? Well if that is the case then you've been given the answer by the other people who have responded to you. Do the practical actions of joining in on plays etc. If you remain dedicated to the work everything else that you need will follow.
What happens sometimes is that many people are caught up in the glamour of wanting to be the #1 star splashed all over the media and being in Hollywood. Right now you are working for free, for example, showing your classmates your talents let's say of singing and acting in school plays. You are learning now. When you're on stage you will develop what is called stage presence, projecting your voice, using proper diction, etc. Hopefully, as you perform the understanding will come to you that, yes, I can do this work for a living or may be I like it more like a hobby. Lastly, if I were to suggest something to you it would be to have something to say through your work. Give some meaning to the audience, people are looking for inspiration. Talk with the people who take care of you and the drama teacher and they can explain these concepts to you. Best of luck to you child!

Get involved in your school plays and productions, volunteer at a local community center for the performing arts. Study your favorite actor or actress and try to immediate them as part of you studies. Become part of social groups that have the same passion for acting. Best of all try and find a mentor to advise you and follow their advice carefully.

Hi Marih,
Acting is super fun but also a lot of work. I use to act all the time since I was 10 years old and when I went to High School I found a passion for Basketball. Just like acting, I had to practice and learn to get better at the thing I loved. If you would like to make this your career. Then you would benefit by learning your craft. You can take lessons for both vocal and theater. You can join a theater company, Drama clubs, and Drama groups. Anything to help you get better and better. You got this!
