Concept Artists are known to make elaborate drawings of a description they read in a story or someone just described to them. They do this in five to fifteen minutes. If you can hone your skills to do this in that amount of time, it does not matter what is the number one business for it is. They will all want you. I have two friends that do this phenomenally, but their hygiene is not the best. Bad breathe and don't wash clothes. You can tell they shower but miss out on other things.

Hi Sofia!

It's hard to say which is the TOP business needing concept art, but the top 2 are Video Game companies and Film companies.
So often the film companies are making movies based on games that have proved to be massively popular ($$)
Because of this, the two industries often draw from the same pool of talent.
That said, I think getting a job at a game company first, might be your best bet. (But obviously, don't pass up ANY opportunity!)

I highly recommend checking out the Blizzard website, to see what people are creating out there.

Don't be too put off by the overload of macho images of muscle bound monsters. There's PLENTY of guys creating that stuff. (Not that you can't do it, too, if that's what you like.) But there's always a need for imaginative drawings of scenery, especially sci-fi and fantasy images that may not exist in real life.

A good imagination is key. But also, exceptional drawing skills are absolutely necessary. And this is one area where you don't necessarily HAVE to create your images digitally. If you CAN, great! (Mainly because of the flexibility of editing of the images.) But the first 2 skills are the most important.
Be aware that it's a very competitive position. But if you've got the talent, don't let that hold you back. Talent is the first step, but persistence is what will get you the job!

Here's another good site to check out to see what the industry is up to.
