Hi Timothy!

I am not sure if this is relevant anymore to you but I will still reply here. Your question is the answer intertwined, it basically is for everything in life. That is philosophical but yet so true as per my believe goes. Architecture similar to the occupation of doctor and lawyers is time consuming and lot of work. It may not be financially rewarding initially, proportionate to the efforts you may have to put in but at the end it really depends on what gives you pleasure and passion in a career. It also depends on the skills and the acumen you may have to be a really successful architect. So weigh your options and try to find out what you are good at, how much you value money, the passion for the profession vs. other factors.
In general architecture as profession will require you to really have a passion for it to stick through in the long run. It is rewarding to see your projects become brick and mortar reality - or a green building making breakthrough. Hope this is a direction to some thoughts. I am ope to answer more.. just drop a line here! Good Luck!
