Caroline’s Answer

Hi Christopher,

If you are taking courses from well-known learning platforms like Coursera or edX, and are receiving certificates for those courses related to the field you would like to work in, definitely add those to your resume. That shows whoever is looking at your resume that you have taken time to learn more and could make you an attractive candidate for the position you're applying for.

Typically on your resume you would include a section for education, so if you take a course and obtain a certificate from that course, add it in there. If you are taking many courses and receiving many certificates, you should add in one or two that are the most closely related to the position you are applying for.

I hope this helps - good luck with your continuous learning!

Caroline

Idikula’s Answer

Absolutely. its expands your knowledge and perspective on the subject a lot and enhances depth of understanding as well. On resume it tells of your exposure and even can expect interview questions on the topic specially if it involved projects or thesis as well. Now just the value of it may differ from country to country. Having said that most value it and it shows you took time and interest being a professional or not to look deeper and wider on the topic of interest. So Go for it but Pick what matters for you in terms of the subject.!

Hi Christopher!

You can definitely add the courses you take on Coursera or edX to your resume. You can add these courses to the education section of your resume. You can include the title of the course and the institution that offered the course.
