The biggest tip I have for this is to not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone for electives. These are great opportunities to find something that you might be passionate about! You do not have to take electives that match your major, and electives always have a wide range of options for things that can fulfill them. So have fun!
I initially thought I wanted to be a pharmacist and was a biology major, but in my first semester I took a Film Culture class and it made me realize just how much I love writing and experiencing art.... so now I'm an English major.

Taking as many classes across multiple disciplines and divisions as possible. This will help you expand your intellectual horizon and also help you identify what your true academic interests are (and ultimately decide on what to major).

Hi Kelly,
Looking back, some hindsight advice that I wish that I could give myself is to plan ahead. I sometimes wonder what my life would have looked like if I had graduated a semester early or if I had studied abroad or I could have minored in another discipline area or taken more flex classes. I would definitely consider all of the options and map out how you'd like to spend your time in college.
Best of luck!
