Hey Paige,

Nurses Without Borders, or more commonly Doctors Without Borders, is a non-profit international program that has projects most commonly in countries with significant need such as those effected by war or significantly impoverished countries. "Travel Physical therapy " is very different. First, it is national, instead of international, so you would only be working in places within the United States. How it usually works is you sign up with a company that works to recruit and place travel PTs to different locations/clinics. Then they set up a contract with a particular location and you work there for a set amount of time, usually 3 months. After your time at the one location is complete what you do next is up to you, but you can then pursue another contract and work at another location for a similar timeframe.

Positives: You get to travel to different places in the United States, Receive perks such as money towards temporary housing, meet new people and new environments

Challenges: need to be able to fit into a new location immediately, quick turnaround, may be in a location without close family/friends
