Should i go for a 4 year degree or a two year degree if i want to become a police officer¿

My recommendation is to go for a four year degree in something other than Criminal Justice. Most job applicants have this degree and having a degree in something else such as business, computers, management, etc. will make you a much more desirable candidate, and will lead to future advancement within your organization.

Due to the long hours and unconventional shifts you may be working, it is much harder to get a degree after becoming a Police Officer. It is not impossible, but you won't have the benefit of going to school full time.
