Dorm life is great and you can learn a lot from that experience. Assuming you will have roommates, reach out to them as soon as you learn who they are using social media. Through that you will be able to talk to them and get to know them before you even meet them. By the time you meet them the awkward getting to know you phase will be out of the way. Hi Makenna,

My advice for dorm life is to keep your dorm door open and make as many friends as possible. When people are going to the cafeteria to eat, join in and likewise invite other friends from your floor! Have fun and good luck!
