Regarding teaching fields, it's advisable to undertake your program in the state where you intend to teach, due to varying licensing requirements. From my personal experience, during my undergraduate studies, several classmates attended schools in states where they didn't plan to teach. This resulted in them having to either complete an equivalency later or relocate to the state after their student teaching assignments.
What educational level are you aiming to focus on? Your options will vary depending on whether you're interested in early education, grades K-6, or grades 7-12. Additionally, consider your primary field of interest. If you're looking at a K-12 degree in areas like music, art, or physical education, the programs will significantly differ based on your intended outcomes. Special education is another field that greatly differs from others.
Therefore, when researching schools, make sure to review the graduation requirements. If they align with your educational goals, then it might be the right choice for you.
