Is a 3.2 GPA bad?

I hang out with a lot of friends with very high GPAs. I do not know if I am just bringing myself down because I hangout with very intelligent people or if I should really be worrying. I am currently going into my junior year and will really be pushing myself this year. #scholarships #gpa #academic

Grade are very important but not everything. I have found when talking with my HR contacts that when they are looking at resumes they do check the GPA but they also check other attributes such as groups or events that your participate in. Leadership skills, impact to your community, group participation. These things will demonstrate your leadership, teamwork, and caring sides. I have in my career seen individuals not make it in a team because they lacked interpersonal skills even though they were the smartest and most educated. It did not help if they couldn't work well with others.

Stay friends with your very intelligent friends as they will push you to strive and keep up your hard work but don't get discouraged.

Keep doing your best, and work on being a well rounded individual.

I think that you have a good GPA. Could it be better? Yes, but it depends on the you and what you want to achieve. To me, what matters is that you actually learned and retained the information. I had some students with higher gpa and cannot remember what they learned. Depending what jobs you are going for gpa matters or internships. If would suggest to maintain it at a 3.5 or above if anything. But do not stress yourself out.
