While being in the Corps you will be given plenty of opportunities to go to school. The Marine Corps pays for your education while you also get paid for being a Marine. You may have also heard that as a civilian with military background, when apply for a job you are placed above all. You have an advantage over everyone else applying because you have the discipline of being a Marine. This is a great opportunity to not only go to school and get a great education but to travel and have a great experience as well. Hope that you find what i have told you to be a great help to you achieving your goals.

You can absolutely go to school while in and depending on your unit it may be easy or difficult. Most units I have been in work with folks and allow flexibility to complete courses. Others you may be so busy going out to the field and deploying without internet you may not have the chance or will have to at least pause it for an extended period of time.

Some of the pros for being a marine are that you are granted a plethora of benefits and the foundation it can give you once you transition out of the marine corps. To ensure you get the most out of it, speak to your recruiter about the many jobs the Marine Corps has to offer regarding mechanics. This will not only give you invaluable experience but help set you apart when you are looking for a future job.

Now some negatives are that you will be away from family , the starting pay is not so great, you will be constantly tired, and your free time will not always be yours. Albeit, you can find ways to deal with these problems as not everyone's career as a Marine is the same.
