Do you have any more specifics? You can become an engineer in many different ways, but to narrow down some possible steps you should have some more information figured out such as what field of engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and what subjects interest you the most.

Kalyani’s Answer

Society of Engineers wow!
Basically you can do this in 2 ways
1) If you have already decided after 10th that you wanna be Engineer in your intrested area like CS , Mech, EXTC, electrical then doing diploma is best choice because you will get in deepth knowledge of particular field. And this is 3 year diploma. You will get admission to 2nd year in Engineering college based on aggregate of diploma. No special exam need to be give. But your maths will be weak little bit as compare to 12th srudent.
2) If you are yet to decide then do 12th. Meanwhile start preaparing for JEE MAINS and CET.give this exam and based on score of this exam you will get admission to Engineering 1 st year. This required 2 years of dedication. But this choice gives you bouns point to land up in IIT level college that 1 st option don't provide.
Choice is yours but choose wisely.
I had choosen 1) st and i am successful Software Engineer.
Best of luck!

vijay’s Answer

I would advise to focus more on PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Math) than other subject. I would like to share my own experiences. When I was in 11th and 12th I spent 90% of my total study time on PCM and I used to solve daily some challenging problem of it.

Thejas’s Answer

Being an Engineer myself.
I have completed 12th and got an engineer seat through the entrance exam which would differ from states.
There is another way by completing 3 years diploma course on the respective streams and get a lateral entry into engineering colleges.
If you are thinking big like getting into NITs or IITs
You would have to clear JEE main and JEE advanced.
