Jeremy’s Answer

This is a good question. If you're thinking of continuing education for a higher degree and want help financially, I'd recommend you look for firms that are in your field that offer tuition reimbursement. See if you can get an internship as an undergraduate student. Let the company know that you hope to work in the field after graduation and that you're thinking of going for an advanced degree. Ask what their advice is. When you get the internship, work hard and volunteer to try as many posts as you can. When you have your review at the end of your internship. Let the company know that you're interested in working for them after you finish your undergraduate studies. Even if you don't get the job/tuition reimbursement, the experience will help you find a job and improve your application for graduate school.

Jean’s Answer

Well, any job that can help you pay for your education is a possibility. If I were a student today, I would try to get a job that was in the field that I planned to work in after graduation. Just being in the environment will be helpful because you will be soaking in the culture and you'll have the opportunity to talk to professionals doing the sort of work you want to do. If it wasn't possible or practical to work in my chosen field, I'd look for a job that combined convenience and high pay. For example, the closer you are to school and to your job the less time you'll spend commuting. That will give you more time to study and be involved on campus. Maybe you could work on campus. The higher the salary the quicker you'll cover your costs. Both my daughters spent some time working as wait staff and bartenders during their college years. The jobs were conveniently located, the hours fit, and they made good money. An unrelated job coupled with an internship can make sense. Good luck!

Leonard’s Answer

Banks and other financial companies always need help during December break and during the summer months. This helps with covering vacations as well as the busy time preparing for year end. Try to be ahead of the curve in applying for these jobs because spots may be limited. Look for internships with these companies. An internship will usually offer more exposure to the type of work that would be best suited for when you look for permanent work. These internships could be in Accounting or Finance. The internship gives you an idea of what types of jobs that are and what the work entails so you can see what you might like doing as a permanent job. These jobs and internships are usually paid and many times can end in a permanent position when you graduate. Good luck.

Zein’s Answer

Local restaurant, bars, retail shops have good part time opportunities.
During college, I was an RA (Resident Assistant) and that helped me financially! It was also a great way to contribute to my college community! Its not p/t but worth exploring.
