Helping giving and guiding others provides more satisfaction than recieving. By doing something useful for others physically or emotionally , sharing to the needy and the underprivileged not only helps others but also helps the self. More than this when you help one; someone else helps you when in need is the law of Karma.

Angela’s Answer
Hi Jessica:
I came to this work through my personal experience. My family immigrated to the US from Hong Kong when I was 7 so I was new to the US, an English learner, and benefited from free lunch programs at school and other social services programs that my family signed up for. I have very distinct memories of translating for my parents with different services/businesses as a young child and what stood out were those adults that helped me and my family and those that made us feel "less than" or difficult to get what we needed.
I took a vow early on that I wanted to be an adult that helped anyone and everyone that I interacted with so those long lasting impressionsI left with others were positive ones.
Hope this helped,
angela
