Hi Zemira,

I hope all is well! The prereqs depend on the program however I have provided
some common courses that students take in the field of Speech-Language Pathology below.

Anatomy and Physiology I
Cellular Biology and Genetics
Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology
Essentials of Physics for the Health Sciences
Statistics for the Health Sciences. *Statistics is required for graduate study.
Introduction to PSY

Introduction to Language and Communication
Phonetics
Anatomy and Physiology of Speech Hearing Mechanisms
Language Development
Acoustic Bases of Speech and Hearing
Neurological Bases of Communication

Introduction to Communication Disorders
Introduction to Audiology
Clinical Procedures in Speech and Language Pathology
Diagnostic Procedures in Speech and Language Pathology

I hope that this helps! It also good to reach directly out to the programs
of interest and ask if they can provide you a list of prereqs that are required.

Take Care,

Alyssa Cole

Liam’s Answer

Hi, its important to review the course/program info for the school you are applying/attending. Prereqs. could be different from school to school. Transfer credits may be applied based on the schools transfer credit policy (# of credits that can be applied, type of credits, source of those credits). It is important to know the course path to your goal so you do not waist time on too many electives that may not be applicable to your program.

Good Luck!
