What are the needed skill set required for forensic science careers?

I am a biology major. I became interested in forensics due to loving many science subjects. I became torn when I looked over careers that dealt with all the different fields of science. It was only when I took criminology that I started to look at the forensics field. I am really looking forward to being in the crime scene investigation field and will be going to graduate school for it. #biology #forensic #laboratory #crime

Hey! I think it's awesome that you're looking into forensics and crime scene investigation. Now the forensics you're speaking of, a science background is excellent. This will be particularly helpful if you want to work in a lab. As far as crime scene investigation goes, most do not require a specific degree, but instead want experience with policing as this aspect does not take a lot of science knowledge. Most departments will make you work patrol before becoming a CSI. The departments that don't will be open to any degree experience. I hope this helps.
