Hey Josh. Everything is special when you are a police officer. I've been in Law Enforcement for 32 years and I can say without reservation, I wouldn't want to do anything else. You never know what the next call or traffic stop will bring, but you are trained and ready for anything. You can go from directing traffic to being the first responder to a homicide. And you are never alone. Your fellow officers are there to back you up should you ever need help, just as you would be there to back them up. One night another officer and I got into a fight trying to arrest a very large suspect. We could barely key up the radio to ask for backup, but the other officers heard what was going on and knew we needed help. Within minutes, there was a steady stream of blue uniforms flying through the door. The suspect was in custody and no one got hurt. It's a brotherhood like no other. If you like helping people, this job is very rewarding.
