How will I know if the career I am aiming for will be the right choice for me?

I am a tenth grader at my high school and I am still undecided on what I plan to do with my life. I am pretty much open to anything in the world from the military to a teacher to a doctor, but I am nervous that I will make a choice than regret it later on in my life. #doctor #professor #veterinarian #film-acting #undecided

Hi Ariana!

In the words of PBS, "stay curious"! You've got time :)

I think that the most important thing that you can do in the next two years, as a start, is to really understand "You"! What do you like, where do you excel without even trying, what draws your interest in media/tv/magazines, and is there any problem (i.e. - homelessness, abandoned animals, orphans, etc.) where you say to yourself "I wish that I could help fix that"? As you drill down to the answers of these and other questions, you'll start to dial into some trends that will help lead you not only to a college major but ultimately to a fulfilling career and a sense of purpose. And yes, personality tests and friends&family interviews are fun ways to explore that path too.
