Hi Vita -
My wife is a physician and between the time I've spent with her and her medical school friends, what I see they all have in common in a love of medicine and helping people. Medicine and people in need of help is (probably) technology proof and will exist for many years to come, but the key will be to ask yourself if you have a deep desire to pursue medicine and play a major part in the care of an individual. That passion will trump all political obstacles and law changes that will continue to exist.

As long as there are sick people there is going to be a need for doctors. Yes, the government would affect the bureaucracy around their careers, but they are going to be needed always.

Its a great question and medical care givers are a noble profession. There will always been need for skilled professionals to take care of our aging population.
Insurance will always be involved in one way or another. There is a correlation between new administrations (both state and federal) that will impact insurance in different ways. But, as mentioned above there will always be a need to medical professions from EMTs in the Ambulances to brain surgeons.
Its a noble profession and requires significant training and school. Best of luck!
