Hi Rach,
Some scholarships for college are merit-based. You earn them by meeting or exceeding certain standards set by the scholarship-giver. Merit scholarships might be awarded based on academic achievement or on a combination of academics and a special talent, trait, or interest. Other scholarships are based on financial need. You can learn about scholarships in several ways, including contacting the financial aid office at the school you plan to attend and checking information in a public library or online.

Hello Rach, I'm really happy to answer question from someone in Nepal. I was born in Nepal and moved to States for college.
I applied and got accepted to NYU in 2015. I ended up not attending because the scholarship amount was not enough for me and since I was international student, there were very little outside options for me. However, they were really helpful all along in the journey. So based on this experience, one thing I suggest you to do is to send an email to the financial aid and/or some other departments and ask them to help you out. They were really helpful for me to know about my options and I believe you would benefit out of it as well.
Other than this, Typically, I would also suggest to talk to you school counselors but being someone who grew up in Nepal, I know it's not a common thing. So I also suggest doing a bit of research on your own. You can search on google, youtube, quora to learn more. There might also facebook groups that will help with all of this, so I suggest you to look into it as well.
Some good articles I found by quick google search:

Hello Rach, I am happy to help answer your question. Searching on google for scholarships is one option, but those can get a ton of applications. If you are interested in a specific University, I would recommend searching on their website for scholarships. I believe these are typically found on the school’s financial aid page, but depending on the school, there can be a lot of options listed. If you don’t see anything, you can always call or email the admissions office and ask about scholarship opportunities and how you can go about applying. This might be a good option because they should be able to give you more direct information about scholarships that you may qualify for.

https://myscholly.com/welcome/ - this was a scholarship app that went on Shark Tank and has great reviews. The best thing to do is keep researching and ask your school counselors/admins/etc.
