Science is all about how one sees and interacts with the world around them. It teaches methods that will guide you in finding answers to questions that come up. So, if you are going into a line of work that is not science heavy (I. e. sciences, engineering, medical, etc.), it would still benefit you to know how to research and how to solve puzzles.
Daniel’s Answer
It is indeed hard, but always doing simple stuff is boring!
Being afraid of "science" (in my book) means you didn't have the right teacher / the right opportunity to explore something you really like.
If you could find that in your job (studying / exploring / analysing / "sciencing" something you actually find interesting) you'll have a lot of fun doing it, and your fear will become ambition.
That's quite a general tip :P do something you like! the rest will naturally follow.
Good luck and don't give up science!
Shawn’s Answer
Science is challenging, but rewarding at the same time. It teaches you how to persevere through things that don't come natural or easy, and brings you to a logical outcome. These are the building blocks to being a great engineer.
