when it comes to architectural studies at a major university, I know that a great deal of time is spent in the "studio". Is it advantageous to live on campus/ in the dorms to be as close to the studio as possible for working on projects?

I am looking into living expenses on and off campus. #architect #architectural

On campus/Close to campus is better.
For undergrad you'll have much less freedom to skip studio so being close to campus is better than being off campus, you'll also be closer to your classmates and everything else. If you live in a state with snowy winters, living off campus will decrease your motivation to actually show up to studio. If you're going to be a graduate student I don't suggest living on campus/in dorms, just be nearby.
But also don't spend your entire life living in studio, time management, you shouldn't be spending an excessive number of all-nighters every single year. For me, that was a sophomore/ first half of junior year thing.

Be on or near campus as an undergrad.

You won't have as much freedom in undergrad to skip studio in the first place, you'll be closer to studio/classmates and if you live in a state with snowy winters it won't be as much of a hassle to get there.

But time management, you shouldn't be spending multiple all-nighters on projects every single semester of undergrad. For me, that was a sophomore and first semester junior year thing.
