Is college worth the cost?
For most middle-class millennial's, college is seen as a luxury most cannot afford. However, we see the difference an education can make in our standard of living. But, how can any person who wants to acquire a higher socio-economic status achieve this if the cost is more than what we can afford? #teaching #teacher #college-admissions #financial-aid #college-graduate

Hello,
I agree with both answers so far - first you have to decide what your passion is; what do you love to do; what would you like to do in the future. As you think about those questions, you will begin to see if you can obtain your goals through a four year college OR through another route. As a teacher, I can see that both ways to obtain your dreams can work - but you must first identify your dream. Once you know what you want to pursue, then you will be able to achieve your goals - no matter the cost! College prepares you for your lifelong profession - there is a cost, but are you worth the cost? What are your dreams worth?

Hello -
This is a great question that needs to be answered more so based on your own goals and aspirations. Colleagues of mine that are craftsman or entrepreneurs are doing very well without college degrees and the same can be said for my colleagues with college degrees. Education itself is invaluable, but the costs can be mitigated and controlled via school selection, grant application, scholarships, etc. Try and narrow down what career goals you have in mind first and then the "is it worth it" question may become more clear.

higher education is more about the career than economical status. You can make good money as youtuber with some talent; however, you need higher education to become a doctor. Yes, higher education could be expensive, but it prepares you to a career you are interested in. Is it worth it? You are the only one who could answer this question.
