Hello Kenley,
What is my least favorite part? I don't really have a least favorite, but a more of a sad part...
I find it most saddening when my clients want change, know how to go about the change, but continue to remain stuck. I call it hampster wheel living. This is the most upsetting part of working with clients for me. When this is happening, I often find there is a secondary gain the person is getting from not moving toward their stated goals. When we discover this, usually they push past whatever had them reliving the trauma or way of being. Amazing things happen after that!
Hope this helps. I love working with people, and even when they're really stuck, I'm always learning about myself through them.
Good luck!

My least favorite part of being a psychologist is the insurance company dance. Each company has an enrollment procedure that is complex and takes a long time (6-8 weeks).
They dictate what I have to disclose to them about my clients. They dictate what I will be paid for the session and often will dictate how many sessions my clients can have for treatment.
Because most people need their insurance coverage to afford treatment I do these things so people can get services. It feels like a game or a dance and I do it but I am often distressed over the process.
