Joseph’s Answer
A dedication and passion for learning. And a passion to help people.
Get familiar with inductive reasoning, every problem has a narrative, thus every solution may have several solutions whether that is palliative care, surgery or an x-ray.
A dedication to attacking unfamiliar problems, even if they are not medical in nature because it will teach a path for trouble shooting.
Don't be afraid to ask why, or to ask for more details. If they can't provide the details then you've just discovered an opportunity or the need to seek someone else's advice.
