I'm a step down ICU nurse and most days I like my job and I'm glad I do what I do, especially when I know that not everyone has the ability to do what I do. All nurses have this inner strength and desire to help people that needs to be met somehow, but I don't think fun is a word I have ever used to describe my job as a nurse. Nursing is most often described as a rewarding profession and I think that's the most accurate description I can come up with. It's hard work but I like my coworkers and we work well together to get through the challenges of the job. I don' t hate going to work because I think what I do is important, and I find it rewarding going to work making a difference in peoples lives. Especially in this last year, and on my floor which is a ventilator floors and was hit hard by the Covid pandemic.

Nursing is so rewarding but you have to find the area that is best for you. I personally like community health and geriatrics, this is fun for me. I truly enjoy what I do!
