Psychology has many different avenues and directions it can take. There is clinical psychology, forensic psychology, cognitive psychology, educational psychology, Industrial psychology and this list goes on quite extensively. My recommendation would be to do some research in the many different areas, and see what really means something to you. You also need to consider how much schooling you are prepared to do, and make sure you know what your state requirements are. Depending on what you are wanting to do in some cases you can get away with only having a bachelors where other positions require a minimum of a masters or PhD.
Though I'm sure this didn't fully answer your question in the way you had hoped, I do hope it was helpful in providing some insight to figure out what you want to do as psychology as a whole is a very broad subject. Best of luck to you.

I would advise you to research the field of Psychology to see which field you are interested in focusing on for a career. Please check with a faculty advisor who would be able to assist you and then look for a mentor in the field that you choose. Also, after doing your research, check to see if you could shadow your mentor. This would provide specific information for you coupled with the degree requirements that you would need to obtain.

This is a very broad question and you'll have to do some in depth research to see if its a good fit for you. A psychology degree can be useful in many jobs, but if you want to directly advise patients you will need a Masters degree and state certification https://www.txca.org/licensing_certification.php.

Psychology is an excellent line of work to be in. However, first you need to figure out what you want to do with psychology. Psychology can be used in many different careers. I would suggest doing research into what can I do with a major in psychology? Talk to faculty who teach psychology and ask them what their students do with this major. Also, research careers in psychology and do informational interviews with people in careers you are interested in. Once you do this work, then you can answer if psychology is the best choice or not.
