Hi there. Depending on your license level at minimum you are looking at 4 years of undergraduate and probably 2-3 years in graduate school for a master's level license.

Keep in mind that there are two levels of therapists, both for occupational and physical therapists. It is true that you need a 4 year undergraduate degree and 2-3 years masters program to be a licensed therapist but one can becoming a therapy assistant with a 2 year associates degree, either as a career or as an intermediate point to becoming a licensed therapis t

Great question, you can get 4-year degree in psychology or counseling to start helping clients. However, a Master degree is required to be licensed as a therapist. Depending on your start it will require 3000 supervision hours before becoming licensed therapist.
