Tom’s Answer

Any job can be stressful if a person allows it to be. But an air traffic controller has to be attentive, responsible, and very much on top of their job since the lives of many individuals are dependent on them from the time a plane takes off to the moment they touch down. It would be a smart idea to visit an actual airport, with permission, and ask if you could possibly speak to an air traffic controller to ascertain if this is, in fact, the job for you. Hearing and learning from an experienced individual is the best way to make a decision as to whether this is the direction you wish to travel in since many skilled and experienced individuals will let you know that it's bound to be stressful at times, but with enough training and experience, it could be a very interesting career choice.
