What are different majors for finance positions?
I am a sophomore in high school. My career interests are in management and administration and finance. I am in honors classes and have little work experiences. #career-options #high-school-students

There are plenty of branches related to finance in general, and it all depends on your interests within the major.
Take corporate finance for example which involves in capital budgeting, capital structure, M&A transactions among other things .
or valuations which involves in business modelling and determining a value for an a company.
perhaps you would be interested in portfolio management stuff and here i would suggest to take CFA designation to excel in that.

Hi there, you can definitely major in business or economics and have an emphasis in finance depending on the school. Some schools may even have a finance major - but being a business major is probably the best route to go!

I work at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and I studied Public Administration at USF. I think you could go a few different routes with your major depending on your passion. I found Public Administration to be a bit general and a business degree may be more specific. In either of those majors, you should be able to take finance related courses.
