Is being a kindergarten teacher fun?

I'm in 8th grade. I have a class called career and technology. We are doing a project by asking questions about the careers we would like to do when we are older. #career #teacher #english #principal #teaching

Heather’s Answer

I asked my sister, who is an educator and has taught all grades at the elementary level. She has even taught at the college level -- teaching future teachers! Here's what she had to say:

Teaching is what you make of it. Any grade is fun. Kindergarten is fun in the fact that it’s great to watch little children learn how to be in school. Sure it’s amazing when they learn their numbers, letters, sounds and colors but the true happiness is when they learn how to be independent and they figure out school is safe and there are people that love them there. They are silly, sweet, and accident prone and still learning how to stay clean. They make you feel like everyday is fun.
If you choose education as a potential career, try it out by volunteering in a classroom and reading aloud, tutoring, or just talking with kids. Think about taking a course in high school that offer internships in schools. Find these opportunities to get experience working with kids at different ages to find the age group that you connect with the most.

Hope this helps!
