How much a job pays depends on a number of factors, including years of experience, education, location, certifications, etc. I like to look up prospective job functions on payscale.com to see what an average is for a role in a particular area to help set expectations.

Hi - For me, work should be equivalent to your passion - job satisfaction, work-life balance, growth and then money.
I know my preference and the chronological order (above) sounds cliché but money won't matter if you are unhappy with your job role.
So, do make a conscious choice regarding your field of interest, what kind of work excites you, what you want to contribute in the corporate world and then what kind of pay scale will be suitable.
