Doug’s Answer

Technically you do not have to go to school, however it is a good place to nail down some basic techniques and habits. With the right job, coming out with a 2 year Associate Degree or Certificate, you can grow and develop your skills and knowledge as you progress through through your career...a 4 year (Bachelor’s) Degree will get you a more solid base to build on as well as exposure to more options to pursue which in the industry.

It really comes down to what kind of cooking and growth you want.

Doug recommends the following next steps:

Decide on some goals for yourself in the industry
Look at 2 year and 4 year programs, as to what they offer
Find a school that you will thrive snd grow in, as opposed to a” get it out of the way” attitude

I suggest googling this question as every school has their own requirements.
