If you want to become a teacher or a professor then you must fulfill the eligibility criteria. If you want to become a professor or assistant professor in the colleges or universities, then you must have the post graduation degree from the recognized university.
The you can apply for the UGC NET Exam in the subject of your post-graduation degree and apply become a lecturer in universities or get a award of junior research fellowship.
The age of the candidates must be below 30 years for JRF while there is no age limit for the lectureship.
Similarly if you want to teach at school level, apply for the examinations conducted to recruit the candidates for the teacher in school.

There a no more noble and important profession than teaching, it you have to have a passion for it to be good. You have to think about what level of children you would like to teach, and then check with your counselor as to what courses would be best for you to take. If you have the time, volunteer at schools on different grade levels to get a feel as to what age group you would like to,work,with. Good luck to you.
