[closed] How do managers become more helpful in the playing field of business?

Hello,
I am business major and senior at Concordia University. My major is management, and I would like to gain some more academic knowledge about being competitive in the field of management. If mainly everyone competing for an upper position has a degree, than how can I put myself farther than the rest and be noticed among the huge pile of applicant papers that are there for employers to lazily look over? How can an employee in a management position get noticed more and receive recognition to move up?
