The best medical doctor I know became a nurse first, loved what he did, and went onto medical school. He became one of the best surgeons in the hospital since he appreciates and knows what all the nurses do for him on his behalf. Getting your BSN gives you a good stopping point just in case you do not want to move onto becoming a medical doctor.
