Hi Anna! It's so exciting that you're interested in becoming a teacher!
The requirements for being a teacher are different depending on which state you live in and want to teach in. In general, you can major in education and graduate from college with a teaching license for your state. However, that is not the route I took. I did not major in education while in college; I studied Political Science and Arabic. Now, I am a first-year teacher in New Mexico. In order to teach, I am currently in a New Mexico licensure program. At the end of this school year, in June, I will have my teaching license in New Mexico, and I'll be finished with my first year teaching!
To summarize, when becoming a teacher, you can take the more traditional route and graduate college with an Education degree. However, there are alternative paths and programs you can do to become a teacher with any bachelor's degree.
Anna, I hope your curiosity for a career in education continues!

Hi,
Depending on where you live, there are different requirements for teachers. Given the variety of interests listed, it sounds like K-6th grades might work best. If you choose high school, you will be specializing in one (or two) of your interests. Again, depending on where you live, there are a myriad of requirements specific to different grade levels. I would encourage you to check into specific credentials and college degrees needed in your state for each area and grade level.

How exciting! I would first check in with your guidance counselor at school. They are a great resource, and they'll know the requirements from your state. Some states only require a certification program, and some states require a university degree in the field. You can also ask to shadow a teacher! Look into different age groups and see if you can shadow a teacher from those age groups to get some experience.
Talk to your school counselor
Google state requirements
Shadow teachers
