What are some ways I can make political connections while in highschool?

I am planning on attending college to major in political science before attending law school. Eventually, I plan on going on to run for a governmental position. I would like to get involved now with my local government and am part of a YMCA program that helps with that, but what else can I do to make connections now? #lawyer #federal-government #political-campaigns #us-government #local-government

Hi Alexandria,

I may have some good advice for you. One of the things you can start doing is getting in contact with some of your local officials and sitting down and having a talk with them. Tell them your future plans as well as what you want to get out of them. Whether it's coaching or just future political support make sure you tell them your agenda. Start small and work your way up the political chain because the more people you know the more solid your reputation will be and you learn a lot of different strategies and things like that that will help you further your career goals.
