Hello Ramesh!

I don't know if it is worth spending money on one of the online programs for drawing while you are still in high school since there are many resources that you can learn from for free online. There are many good videos on YouTube on various drawing lessons. Tumblr is also a good place to find guides by other artists as lessons.

The most important early things to practice will be (1.) color theory, (2.) 2- and 3-point perspective (drawing imagined scenes and practice drawing real buildings), (3.) line only drawing exercises, (4.) exercises in shading (pencil or charcoal), (5.) practicing still life drawings, (6.) figure drawing ( you can practice drawing your friends and sit outside and quickly sketch people passing by), (7.) ink drawing (liquid ink washes like watercolor), (8.) painting with acrylic or watercolor paint, (8.) digital illustration (if you are interested in it).

Reading about art history will be good too. Learn about different artists from all over the world, ranging from ancient to contemporary art. Read about what techniques they used, what inspired them, and see many different styles. Learn how other people saw the world.

Also you might find that universities near you have summer programs for middle and high school students in the summer. There may be small little art schools for youth in your area as well. Check around! Some local artists may also offer art lessons.

But most importantly, you must draw. Try to draw a little bit every day. It doesn't need to be a masterpiece. Just have a daily habit of drawing. You'll figure out what you like to do best and begin to develop your own style.

Good luck!

My best advice is to research the top fine art schools in India. You'll want to go to their websites to see what courses they offer and if any interest you. Once you narrow them down a bit you can look further into seeing if they offer anything online. The best thing is to talk with someone I. The art program via email or phone if possible.
